They are made from 1) the brown paper that protects my worktables and gets covered in acrylic and ink. I doused it with encaustic, and 2) gorgeous handmade washi paper that is splattered with ink and acrylic before machine stitching with white thread. It, too, is then doused in encaustic.

The assemblages include both machine and hand stitch with various threads, and often include a few embellishments and wrapped threads.

The pieces are various sizes. The dimensions are for the piece itself and are approximations since they have irregular shapes. They will be shipped without mounting. If you would like me to mount them on mat board and frame them, I’m happy to do so for all of the pieces except the two largest. Please email me at info@robertawagner.com for frame pricing (between $100 and $200) and to make sure we select the right frame. All prices are US$.
