the sarah series

$175.00

***To select a piece, please scroll to the bottom and select a piece by number.

These pieces are made from ink and acrylic on various papers and silk with hand stitch and some beads. They are mounted on an 8” x 10” archival mat board. The price includes WA state sales tax and shipping. A framing option is available for $100.

About The Sarah Series: I wrote about Sarah in my June 2025 blog. Here it is again.

She tiptoed into my mind and in a timid sort of way said, “I really shouldn’t be talking to you. We’re not supposed to interfere with Earth, but I like you and I thought we could be friends.”

That was my introduction to Sarah. Part fairy, part muse, perhaps a part of me that was getting too little attention.

Over the next several years, I wrote about my adventures with Sarah.

She took me inside the paintings of Rothko and Frankenthaler. I went for a swim in their colors.

We crossed the time barrier and traveled through space in time corridors that sparkled with gemstones.

She was light itself. Feathery, happy, giggly, loving.

She encouraged me to see the beauty in everything and to breathe when challenges arrived.

Eventually, my writing about her became too contrived and felt stiff. I set it all aside.

But now, decades later, I still feel her loving and lovely presence.

This past week I saw her in the organza silk laying on my studio worktable. I put together pieces that felt like the essence of her. Airy, translucent, beautiful. I call them The Sarah Series.
